The Beginning

As with all things that have beginnings we too want to celebrate this beginning - the beginning of the Freeman Family Institute.

The paperwork has been completed and the legal considerations taken care of. Everything is in place so that fundraising can begin and the idea which has again awakened our hearts and inspired our minds can begin to make it's way into the physical plane. We are looking at locations and hope in the coming months and years to secure the funding and the location that the Creator will show us.

Today is the day we begin to create this site so that information can begin to be disseminated about recovery after the loss of a loved one through suicide. As funds are raised and construction begins we will begin to be able to help families unplug from the world and spend time alone, with only their families, to work through the loss of their loved one together.

This website is but the beginning of an idea, originating in the mind of my father, which has awakened us from the deep and empty sleep resulting after the suicide of my brother Joshua in 2008.

Upon this blog, and through this website, more information will follow from myself, my father Gary, and other authors who have been through suicide as well in order to help those dealing with the suicide of a loved one. Information will also be posted here to inform you as to our latest news.

God bless you in your journey. If there is anything we can do to help, or to make this website more accessible or useful, please let us know.
